How are your masks/covers made? Our face covers are made with 3 layers (100% cotton front and back with a polycotton middle).
What size should I choose? Our masks come in 5 sizes. Please refer to our diagram to help you determine which size you need.
How long do they take to make? Please allow 3 days for your face covers to be made.
Do you have other fabrics? We have many fabrics to choose from, with more on their way! We also have lots of smaller pieces, so if there's something in particular you're after, feel free to email us or contact us on FB prior to ordering.
Are the covers reversible? Our covers are made with a pattern on one side, and a matching plain on the other (or two plains). This makes the covers reversible, HOWEVER, you SHOULD NOT use one side, then take it off and use the other side without washing first. This action may expose you to viruses and other pathogens.
How do I use my cover? Covers should fit securely around the face, specifically covering the nose and the mouth areas. The cover should fit snugly on your face with the elastic ear loops going around your ears. If you find the cover is falling off your face, you can either tie a knot in, or twist, the elastic to tighten it, or purchase one of our elastic ear savers that go across the back of your head. If using an ear saver, you can also try moving the ear loops under your ears.
Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or use hand sanitiser that is made up of over 60% alcohol, before putting on your cover and after taking it off. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth at all times and store used face covers in a plastic bag until you have an opportunity to wash them.
How do I look after my cover? Covers should be washed each day after use. However, if during the day your cover is visibly dirty or wet, do not continue wearing it - the cover needs to be removed, and another applied. Re-using a face cover without washing is risky because it can become contaminated or may not be as effective in protecting you.
Cloth covers can be washed in the washing machine with other clothes, or hand-washed using soap and the warmest appropriate water setting for the cloth. Your cloth mask should be dry before re-using it. You can use the heat setting on your dryer or lay out flat to air dry. If possible, place the cloth mask in direct sunlight. Wash your hands after handling used face masks.
Disclaimer: Our face covers are not a replacement for medical PPE, and as such, do not provide 100% protection against viruses. They are not intended to replace other recommended measures to stop the community transmission of Covid-19, such as social distancing, regular hand washing/sanitising, and refraining from touching your face. Please follow the advice of your local health authority as to how best to keep yourself safe. Masks are also not recommended for children under 2 years old due to being a safety hazard.
Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic, and the nature of these covers, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange for change of mind, choosing the wrong size, etc.
